Do not adjust your set! This unbelievable early Victorian ring is made of solid 15 carat gold and set with a wonderful eye catching natural turquoise oval cabochon surrounded by the chunkiest, prettiest genuine rose-cut diamonds with the best glisten ever! These stones are the pinnacle of the antique rose-cut diamond, each facet hand cut, with irregular and unpredictable behaviour that make them an absolute glisten monster. The turquoise is a superb natural stone, beautifully softly cut with a rounded, naturalistic look as the light falls across its curves.
Its colour is a super strong pure turquoise and stands out wonderfully from its surroundings. The ring itself is a piece that gets better the closer you get, with fully tapered, triple ribbed band that stands slightly back from the head - this is only noticeable under close examination and is a lovely feature. The head is a high raised basket setting with dual terrace design and perfectly echoes the wonderful cut of the turquoise. It dates from around 1850/60 and is in very good, fully wearable condition throughout, with no loss or damage. There's slight wear to the surface of the turquoise and an old resizing to the back of the band, but these are of little consequence.
It weighs 3.5 grams, measures 14 x 12 mm across the head, the turquoise measures 8 x 6 mm and its ring size is 6 US / M UK - not resizeable. What's more, I offer layaway deals so there's no need to let any of my listings slip through your fingers - just ask!
